THERE IS A CONSOLE FOR EVERYONE

It has been eons since I last posted anything. I have been thinking about console tables a lot lately (i know that sounds weird but I have) 

Console tables also known as entry tables,hallway tables or accent tables are a must-have piece in any home. You can get them in all styles and sizes. They can have storage or not while giving your space pizzaz. Display your keepsakes on the top and use the drawers if any for storage. We scoured the net for a few console styles.

This console with side slats is stylish yet simple.

Antique lovers would love this console with glass tops.

This would fit well in a shabby chic or nautical themed room.

For the drama lovers...who love drama, this kind of console gets everyone in the room talking. Nice way to casually break the ice.

More drama is not a bad thing, the designer of this was inspired by cyclones.

Art deco style rules. Who needs art with such a console?

9 LIVES OF THE KASHA EXPEDIT

We designed this expedit-style storage system as part of our sample furniture collection. It's a hollow bookshelf. We called it kasha which is swahili for a storage chest.

This is one of the most versatile pieces of furniture anyone can own. I love to move my furniture around the house and it can be great to have a piece that can work in the kitchen, hallway, livingroom, bedroom even sometimes bathrooms... I will do a post in the future on how to use your expedit in different rooms but today I styled it in different ways to show it's versatility.

This piece is currently available on order and can be custom-made to increase size also custom-painted to suit your style.

BUTTERY YELLOW GALLERY WALL

I got inspired last year to paint a wall yellow when I was at a doctor's office. I blogged about it here : http://dassabydesign.blogspot.com/2013/09/wall-gallery-doctor-office.html So I went ahead and painted this living room space in the same color, maybe a few shades lighter or darker depending on the lighting. I love it! For the gallery wall I did a collection of some of my favorite pieces instead of the usual contemporary similar looking frames which I totally have nothing against. Here is what the wall looks like now...I will do a full post on the before, during and after soon.

DESIGNSPIRATIONS: GREY ON SAGEY GREEN

HAPPY 2014 everyone! I started the year on a rather not so good note, my grandpa was sick and I went over to visit. So first blog post of the year....random design inspiration from a dentists office...who by the way totally messed up my teeth( read looking for a good dentist to fix the mess soon) .
